ATIC Hosts Successful Inter‑Agency Network Meeting to Strengthen Community Collaboration

The Anatolian Turkish Islamic Center of Calgary (ATIC) was pleased to host the latest Inter‑Agency Network Meeting, welcoming a wide range of community-serving organizations from across Calgary.

The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for agencies to connect, exchange updates, and reinforce our shared commitment to supporting Calgarians.

The morning began with an engaging networking session, followed by an official welcome, Land Acknowledgment, and a collaborative review of the January meeting minutes.

Spotlight on IRES Programs and Referral Pathways

As one of the participating member organizations, the Islamic Restoration Society (IRES) delivered a presentation highlighting its programs and services. Their overview included ongoing community support initiatives and specialized legal and justice system programming designed to reduce the overrepresentation of community members in the criminal justice system.

IRES encouraged agencies to continue referring individuals and families who may benefit from their culturally informed, tailored services—strengthening the referral pathways that help vulnerable Calgarians access the support they need.

Agency Updates: Building a Stronger Network Together

The meeting also featured a round of Agency Updates, where organizations shared new programs, upcoming events, and expanded resources. From housing and settlement support to youth mentorship, senior services, and language programs, the diversity of offerings underscored the strength of Calgary’s community service network.

ATIC extends its sincere appreciation to all organizations that attended and contributed to a productive and collaborative meeting. Together, we continue to build a more inclusive, connected, and supportive community for all.
